 | My name is Desislava Bozhilova and I am a professional illustrator, graphic designer and concept artist already more than 9 years. The pots I use are mostly Italian terracotta. Terracotta pots are quite porous so without the base coat, they would not only soak up a lot of the paint but when a plant is put in the pot, the water from the soil would work its way from inside of the pot to the outside and this would cause the exterior finish to bubble or start peeling. That why to the pot and saucer is given coat of a clear indoor/outdoor sealant. This makes them weatherproof. Each terraccota pot is painted with love to detail used high quality acrylic paints.
